Here, we print a mural design on paper, and cut the whole thing into hundreds of little squares. We provvide an "Assembly Tarp" (to stick the squares to) that is made of tyvek, and has a line grid and a numbering system. We also put a peel-off adhesive backing on the squares for ease of sticking them to the Tarp.
Usually, we’re confined by
the size of our rental stand
(20x6). However, if you have
another way to hang this, we
can make one as big as you
would like.
We usually make squares
in 5.5”x5.5” or 7”x7”. With
the 5.5” size, a 20x6 will
have 572 squares and a
12x6 will have 338
squares. With the 7” size,
a 20x6 will have 340
squares and a 12x6 will
have 200 squares.
The squares are made of
paper, so the mural is not
meant for outdoor display
after the event.
We recommend either
crayons or colored pencils.
(With paint, you have the
issue of where to put all the
squares as they’re drying.)
We actually rent sets of
several hundred of the “fat”
colored pencils--like we
used in kindergarten--for
about $40
We ship UPS Ground.
Tarps ship in 32”x8” diam-
eter tubes. Supply kits are
14x14x14. Shipping costs
are included in all prices
on this page (including
stand return). We usually
ship for your packages to
arrive 8 days before your
start date. (ALL of our
clients are events, and we
have event experience as
well, so we take this arrival
date very seriously.)
With these murals in
squares, we essentially
have to get in and do a
more thorough job of
dotting the mural, so we
just offer the full “combine
and rearrange” customiza-
tion, and can create your
mural in either 20x6 or
12x6.

2-way shipping. Stand is
of light-weight, heavy-duty
aluminum tubing, (like a
speaker stand). It will
stand on it’s own, but
MUST be tied down to
ground stakes when used
outdoors. (If you’re on
hardtop, ask your tent
vendor to bring another set
of whatever they use for
20x20 tents.)
With a ”Mural in Squares”, we do a more intricate dotting so that everything has dots once the mural is cut into the squares. Since we're doing this redotting anyway, we'll go ahead and do the ”Combine & Rearrange” for your design (along with the big logos in the signboards that come with that level). So any characters and designs are available.
We can rearrange a design, remove or resize characters, and pull in things
from other designs. We can also enlarge your logo and place it more "within" the scene.
