First off, know that we draw a animals for Zoo and Aquarium murals in a very realistic style. We understand that in most cases, you'd rather show accurate representations, not cartoony humanized characatures (like some of the photos shown here!) In the Design Ideas section below, there are several designs in our realistic style.
Here are several instances where a mural might make sense for you. And keep in mind that if you get a reusable mural, you could move the mural between several of these events.
Party Areas
Put a reusable mural in a party area, and you have a nice wall decoration, as well as a very flexible activity--you could color on the mural as much or as little as you like, depending on the party schedule, weather, etc.
Halloween Promotions (”Boo At The Zoo” type events)
A mural is a nice addition for this type of event. They're cute warm-and-fuzzy activities like you'd expect from the photos. But keep in mind that murals are also extremely SPONSORABLE in this setting. If you have a radio station tie-in, this is even something that THEY can sell sponsorships on. Radio stations talk to their regular clients about various advertising opportunities, and they might welcome this additional avenue, which could cover the mural cost completely.
New Exhibit Openings
Consider a mural when you add new animals to your facility. We can draw your new residents directly from photos you provide. We can create a design that includes your facility landmarks (like your entryway, or characteristics from the new exhibit area), and we can include other animals from your facility as well.
Earth Day, Migratory Bird Day, Shark Week
Consider a mural (or possibly our smaller Table Size Sheets) during times devoted to celebrating certain animals.
Construction Areas
If you have construction going on, consider a mural as a festival way to cover up some of the construction walls. As to designs, we have a set of “construction” characters, or we could even draw a scene representing what the new area will look like when it's done. |

Consider the Rigid Wipeable Plastic if you plan to mount it semi-permanently on one of your walls.

Consider the Wipeable Tarp if you'd like to be able to put it up and take it down whenever you like, if you'd like to pull it out only for certain events, or move it from a party area to another area.

| Both of these mural types are reusable. You can use Crayola Markers or Crayola “Washable” Paint or Crayola “Tempera” Paint, and wipe them off with just water and a sponge. If you're INDOORS, though, and would like to avoid water runoff when you wipe, then you'll want to use the markers, which you can wipe with just a wet sponge. |

Consider these for smaller events or parties. These are in a much lower price range, and they're still great coloring activities using the same character sets as the larger murals. They just don't provide the same visual that the larger murals do.

| We have dozens of designs that we've done for zoos and aquariums over the years. Note that we draw each animal, tree, flower, etc. separately, so we can mix and match to put exactly what you'd like into your design. Scroll down to see some design examples. |

| Note: We also have an area where you can see all our available animals in more of a menu format. Scroll down below the designs for the direct links. |

| In this first design, we drew the four Reticulated Giraffes from photos provided by the Cincinnati Zoo. All the other animals, including the other two giraffes, they chose from our existing stock. In the second design for the Bronx Zoo, we drew all the Gorillas, the other monkeys on the ground and in the trees, and the wild pigs. We already had the foliage, vines and birds. In the third design for the Maui Aquarium, we drew six different species of shark for their design. All the other fish, plants and coral we had. |

| These four designs were created entirely with animals we already had. But as an example of how we can mix and match, or the Chattanooga Zoo (third design down), they asked that we use a background more representative of the forests around Chattanooga, rather than a jungle feel. So they looked in our “Nature & Natural Animals” category and found trees and a stream that felt better for them. They also asked that we add mix in some non-zoo animals from their area, like the deer, beavers, raccoons and trout. |

All the birds are together, all the big cats, all the sharks, etc. If you'd like to tell us about just a few animals, you can call us and say “third page, the second cat down on the left side of the page”. If you have a bunch of animals, you could also print the pages you like, circle the animals, and fax them to us at 801-296-1087. (Just call or email us to let us know you've faxed.) Also remember that we can draw new animals for you if you don't see what you'd like in our designs or these menus. |
