Bring Learning to Life with Custom Murals for Zoos & Aquariums

At The Monster Mural, we know it’s important to Zoos and Aquariums that we draw animals accurately and realistically, and in a very realistic style—as opposed to cartoony, humanized caricatures. We’ve drawn hundreds, if not a thousand animals just for you. We also know you only want to show animals that actually reside at your facility, so we offer this kind of customization.

Below are our product and usage recommendations, based on decades of relationships with some of the largest Zoos and Aquariums in the world.

Product Recommendations

Rigid Wipeable Plastic

Consider the Rigid Plastic if you have either an indoor or outdoor wall to mount it on. In a party room, you could mount it semi-permanently, or for special events you could mount it temporarily just for the event event run. The Rigid Plastic comes in 4′ wide sections, which you’d screw mount onto your wall for fairly easy mounting and removal.

The Rigid can last for many years with proper care and storage, and removal from direct sunlight when not in use. The material can withstand eight to ten months total of direct sunlight without showing wear.

Rollable Wipeable Plastic

Consider the Rollable Plastic if you’d like a mural that’s more maneuverable for different events or in different locations. It’s also the option to choose if you’d like to use our stand to make it a free-standing activity. The Rollable comes to you as one piece, with grommets. Note that the Rollable has a shorter lifespan than the Rigid.

Table-Size Coloring Sheets

Consider the Table Sheets as an economical option for just about any of your special events, camps or volunteer appreciation events. These are 7.5′ x 2′, paper, so they roll up easily for storage and roll out easily for quick set-up.

Birthday Parties, Corporate Pastries, Volunteer Parties or Day Camps

01. Birthday Parties, Corporate Parties, Volunteer Parties or Day Camps Put a Wipeable Mural in a party area, and you have a nice wall decoration, as well as a very flexible activity. You could color on the mural as much or as little as you'd like, depending on the party schedule, weather, etc. These could work for birthday parties as well as a children's activity for corporate parties, volunteer parties, or other special events.

Also consider our Table Size Coloring Sheets, which are smaller and more economical. These are 7.5'x2', printed on heavy-duty paper and work well with crayons. They roll up small, so they're easy to store and just pull out whenever you need them. And note take way longer to complete than you'd think.

Halloween Promotions - "Zoo Boo" events

If you add activities during your Boo At The Zoo type special events at your zoo, a mural is a great addition. It's a highly visual, warm-and-fuzzy activity that will attract all ages. With our Wipeable mural material, you could wipe it down at the end of every day, so you could use it every day of this year's promotion, as well as every day for several more years. If you'd like to make this a freestanding activity, we have a stand for either rental or purchase. (But note that the stand should be moved indoors and out of the wind overnight.)

Keep in mind that our murals are very sponsorable. We can include full color zoo and sponsor logos in the design.

Earth Day, Migratory Bird Day, Shark Week, etc.

Remember us when you're celebrating various animal-centered celebrations. We have several design options for Earth Day, some nice bird designs and a great shark design.
